“Forward” is also the title track of their debut E.P. which includes five original songs and is set to release in the summer of 2026. Blaise Viernes aka Blaze Fiyah, formerly of the band Irie Souls, says that he hasnʻt released an original tune in quite some time, but is ready to spread their message to the world again. Zion Bound (the album) by the Irie Souls was released in January of 2010 and is the name of the first and only album they have ever released. After a 15-year pause, they return as Zion Bound (the band) with additional members coming from Ooklah the Moc and elsewhere.
With members hailing from Kalihi to Kapolei, Zion Bound is a band from Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi that performs roots dub reggae music. They formed in the summer of 2024 and have been steadily making their rounds in the reggae scene. They currently play as a 10-piece group that showcases an illustrious three-part horn section and dynamic vocals, which add a unique fullness to their late 70s style of reggae.
